Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by Southeast Missouri Transportation Service, Inc. (SMTS), on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 7:00 PM to consider a project partially funded by the Missouri Department of Transportation, pursuant to Section 5311 and Section 5311(f) of Title 49, United States Code.

1. Replacement of fifteen (30) vehicles, and purchase of (25) additional vehicles for expansion of services.

2. Request is also made for financial assistance in an amount necessary to complete funding and operate the public system.

3. The Home Office of the project will be 700 East Highway 72, Fredericktown, Missouri, and will be available to serve people in 21 counties in Southeast Missouri.

5. The source of local match funding will be donations, tax revenue and special projects.

6. At the hearing, SMTS will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard regarding the project. Interested persons may submit orally, or in writing, evidence and recommendations with respect to said project. If no person(s) request to give either oral or written evidence and recommendations three days prior to the public hearing, the applicant is not required to hold the public hearing.

7. Private for profit transportation providers interested in participating in the proposed service may request full details from the applicant.
