NEWLY RELEASED REPORT REVEALS OVERALL ECONOMIC IMPACT OF TRANSIT IN MISSOURI AT $4.05 BILLION ANNUALLY
On August 3, 2022, SMTS, as a highly regulated Missouri Transit Provider, received a visit from MoDOT Senior Multimodal Specialist, Janette Vomund, Barbara Savary, Senior Compliance Analyst with Milligan Consulting, MoDOT Intern, Lawrence Clark of Lees Summit, MO and MoDOT Intern, Andrew Mancini of San Francisco, CA. Biannually, MoDOT requires all their sub-recipients to undergo an extensive review process to ensure that each transit provider in the state is compliant with rules and regulations mandated by various federally funded programs. SMTS receives flow-through funding from MoDOT sanctioned by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to support Public Transit across the state.
