Types of Transportation
At SMTS, we offer two main types of public transportation services.
Door-To-Door Service
Door-to-door service provides you with transportation directly from your residence to your destination. It’s convenient, reduces exposure to the weather, and eases the burden for those with mobility challenges, such as seniors and those with disabilities.

Fixed Route Service (Deviated)
Public transit service running on fixed paths with designated stops. These services are more cost effective and require less planning for the rider than traditional door-to-door service. Consistent routes ensure the service is predictable.

Who can ride with SMTS?
SMTS transports passengers of all ages and backgrounds. We can take you shopping for groceries, goods, and services, to social events, to medical appointments and preventative care services, and much more.
Minors under 16 years of age, must be accompanied by an adult. For more information about child safety seat requirements, please see our SMTS Rider’s Guide.
